Emotion was a further development of my first project
Affection. The goal of this project was to express a sense
of awareness and emotions that all human beings experience
such as jealousy, anger, sadness, and happiness through
organic movements of flowers.
When users approached it at a comfortable distance, a
flower would open its petals beautifully (an expression
of happiness). At the same time, the rest of the flowers
reacted differently by blinking their lights (an expression
of anger), dimming their lights (an expression of sadness),
or making their lights brighter (an expression of jealousy).
These different reactions from multiple flowers mirrored
common human emotions.
